I’m a strategy enthusiast for certain, which is constantly balanced with my creative and entrepreneurial sensibility.  This balance is mission-critical! In marketing – particularly in these modern days of instant gratification, instant access, and instant everything – supreme balance is required.  The kind of balance that comes from experience. 

My career to this point has seen me at both ends of the spectrum and on occasion near the center. I know what the ‘noise before defeat’ sounds like. I also can smell the stale stench of all planning, no doing.

I challenged myself recently to pick only three quotes about strategy and use them to really sharpen my own personal philosophy. This was a difficult task – I have loads of favorites – but in the end, I found this rewarding.
